Rolling lubricant for non-ferrous metals
Description:
AKSOY METALROC24 premium quality water solube lubricant specially developed for the most demanding application of non-ferrous metal (such as copper, aluminium and brass) hot continuous rolling/roughing/drawing. It gives with water (preferably demineralised or de-ionised) stable emulsion with excellent lubricating and detergent characteristics.
Properties / Advantages:
● Very good thermal and oxidative resistance
● Low maintenance cost due to the minimized reduction of buildup caused by organometallic soap formation
● Improved wire surface quality
● Long emulsion life (average production with AKSOY METALROC24 exceeds 2500MT of wire between overhauls -provided good maintenance and follow-up
of the emulsion and the production line are kept)
● Low oil consumption
● Very good tolerance towards tramp oils
● High lubricity which minimizes wear of the calanders and gives very bright and uniform metal surface quality
● Very efficient cooling rates
● Excellent bacteriostaticity
Recommended Concentration: 3-5% depending on production parameters (ambient conditions, filtering systems, quality of the water)
Important Notes:
a) Any leakage of lubricating oils into the running emulsion quickly affects the stability of the emulsion and the properties of the wire.
In case leakages of tramp oils are unavoidable, higher concentration and faster recirculation rates are recommended.
b) Although AKSOY METALROC24has inherent bacteriostaticity bacteria may grow at high ambient temperature and humidity.
In this case, it is strongly recommended a shock dose of bactericide most preferably at regular intervals to avoid excessive bacteria growth
